My Review:

I found The View to be very detailed and descriptive.  This book is a little long winded but it will all make sense in the end.  While reading, I could easily picture what was happening and understand how the characters felt.  The author, Bryan J. Lyzer, had a way with his writing to keep me interested and engaged in the story.  I couldn't put the book down.

After an unimaginable and unthinkable accident, Jack escapes to a small town to recuperate and heal.  While living in a town where nobody knows him, he is able to regain his physical strength, confidence and make new friends.  He befriends two locals, Annie, the owner of a hotel located next door to him and Wild Bill.  Jack ends up helping both of his friends.  He is able to lend an ear or a hand with what they need.  They in turn come through for him.

Jack meets Maria and he is quickly smitten with her.  Little does he know, she feels the same way about him.  Maria is keeping a secret and Jack has a past that he is trying to recover from.  Maria's secret is forcing her to keep a distance from Jack.  Jack is holding back as he knows Maria is married.  He can't just call her up since he's afraid her husband will answer.  While he knows Maria is married, he tries to keep his distance but his feelings are getting in the way.

The View will keep you glued to the pages until the end.  Each detail, each tidbit of information plays a role in the story.  The View is packed with action, suspense, thriller, mystery and romance. This book is full of twists and turns and friendships are testing in the process.
